Nilda Valentin born in San Juan, P.R., U.S.A. In 1978-79 she obtains her bachelor and partecipates to the Study Abroad Program of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Paris. In 1981-82 she graduates from the Georgia Institute of Technology with Masters of Architecture and of City Planning. From 1979 to 1982 she practices architecture in the United States in the offices of Central Atlanta Progress and Toombs Amisano & Wells in Atlanta, and Lockwood-Greene in Houston. Since 1983 she practices architecture in Rome. In 1985 she obtains, with laude, the Degree in Architecture from the School of Architecture of the University of Rome "La Sapienza" (recognition of her's Master Degrees). In 1985-86 she is a registered architect both in Italy and in United States. In 1994 she obtains a Ph.D. in Architectural Design from the School of Architecture of Rome "Valle Giulia". In 1996 she is a recipient of a Post-Doctorate Faculty Grant. From 1995 she makes research and teaches first as an assistant then as and Adjunct Professor, then as a Profesor 'Ricercatore' at the School of Architecture of Rome. She has partecipated to numerous national and international competitions. Her theoretical research and projects can be seen in many publications.

 

Nilda Valentin nasce a San Juan, P.R., Stati Uniti. Nel 1978-79 ottiene il Bachelor e partecipa al Programma Speciale di studio della Georgia Institute of Technology a Parigi. Nel 1981-82 consegue dalla Georgia Institute of Technology i Masters in Architectura e in City Planning. Dal 1979 al 1982 svolge la profesione negli Stati Uniti negli studi di Central Atlanta Progress e Toombs Amisano & Wells di Atlanta, e Lockwood-Greene di Houston. Dal 1983 svolge la profesione a Roma. Nel 1985 consegue con Lode la Laurea in Architettura in Italia dalla Facoltà di Architettura dell'Università degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza" (riconoscimento delle lauree americane). Dal 1985-86 è abilitata alla professione in Italia e negli Stati Uniti. Nel 1994 consegue il titolo di Dottore di Ricerca dalla Facoltà di Architettura di Roma "Valle Giulia". Nel 1996 consegue il post Dottorato. Dal 1995 svolge attività di ricerca e didattiche prima come assistente, poì come professore a contratto e in seguito come Ricercatore alla Facolta di Architettura di Roma. Ha partecipato a numerosi concorso nazionali e internazionali. La sua ricerca e progetti sono presenti in molte pubblicazioni.
